Hi there! I’m Alessa — a freelance writer, educator, and career consultant who helps people communicate clearly and creatively to meet their personal and professional goals.

For a quick snapshot of my work experience, check out my resume. Here’s a bit more about how I got here: I earned my honours degree in Social Work and English from Carleton University and began my career teaching ESL after completing my TEFL and TESOL certifications.
Later on, I worked as a college instructor, teaching academic and resume writing, social sciences, and professional development before moving into freelance writing and editing full-time.
